A View Through a Ships Porthol - Original Fine Art by Judith Webb

Original Fine Art by Judith Webb

All At Sea

This painting is a round canvas, I have tried to convey the illusion of a porthole, to do this the outer perimeter was painted with a golden yellow and brown paint to give the idea of being made of brass, the reflections are made using a buff colour.
It is 2 ft in diameter, and has an edge of approximate 3/4 inches which has had gold acrylic applied too further the impression of metal.
The view is of a yacht ploughing through mountainous troughs and waves with a strong wind billowing out the sails, the crew working hard to maintain its speed and direction.
A most enjoyable pass time.
This could be Cowes week on the Isles of Wight
