They are also believed to be the most intelligent of all animals. This painting has been done in oils to enable me to create a view of the swimming dolphins as shafts of sunlight filter through the depth of the ocean, highlighting parts of them as they swim. through the murky water. Initially the painting was washed in a basic blue undertone, then later glazes of browns and greens were painted over the whole canvas, a lighter colour was then worked and blended in to illuminate the entire scene
